If you want to make meaningful contributions for our clients, the Portfolio Analytics team offers the perfect opportunity to make your mark.Responsibilities:Assist in understanding the drivers of portfolio performance and risk via quantitative analysis, and communicate results to clients Provide solutions to Hedge Funds related to investment reports, portfolio risk and hedging, currency risk and executionImplement innovative statistical techniques to identify patterns in equity market and client portfoliosSupport hedge fund clients in their use of our proprietary web-based performance and risk applicationsConsult with clients on internal/external portfolio reportingWork with the team to design and create investor transparency reports for select clientsParticipate in sales pitches with members of the MSFS sales teamQualifications: 2-8 years of related work experience in portfolio analytics functionsBachelor’s/Master’s degree within a quantitative/economics/finance fieldInterest in finance, capital markets, portfolio analysis, statistics & technology is preferredStrong attention to detail Looking for someone who is a quick learner, is adaptive, is a team player, can multitask, has a strong work ethic, has excellent oral and written communication skills, and is comfortable with client interactionSkills:Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is requiredAbility to manipulate and do computations on financial data sets using a programming language such as R or PythonWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
