Salary Range: $41,000 - $61,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Lansing that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and components.
• Prepare and package finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain organized inventory in the warehouse, including cycle counting and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow and shipment schedules.
• Load and unload trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling and storage.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete documentation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management.
• Forklift certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
• Proficient in using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and documentation (e.g., customs forms, commercial invoices).
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operating and light maintenance of warehouse equipment.
