Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.As a Lead Test Engineer within the Integration and Test (I&T) team, you will be supporting spacecraft, launch vehicle, subsystem integration and test activities across development, qualification, acceptance and flight programs. You will be responsible for leading electrical test execution, developing test strategies, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe and efficient execution of complex electrical test campaigns.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Lead electrical integration and test activities for spacecraft, launch vehicle, and avionics systemsDevelop and execute test plans, procedures, and test readiness documentationOperate test consoles, direct technician work and coordinate with internal customersCoordinate cross functional teams including avionics, software, GNC, systems engineering, and operationsSupport vehicle level and subsystem level environmental and functional testing including Power system validation, functional testing, Performance testing, RF testing, end to end integrated vehicle testingDrive test campaign planning, scheduling and daily execution activitiesMentor and guide junior test engineersSupport test reviews including TRR and post test data reviewsInterface with design engineering teams to define instrumentation, data acquisition, and test success criteriaTrack risks, issues, and action items to closureCoordinate test crews, support equipment and vehicle configurations for testing.Promote strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.Find opportunities for safety improvements and cost savingsQualifications:Passion for our Mission: Millions of people living and working in space!BS in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline8+ years of applicable experienceExperience leading complex aerospace test campaignsExperience with electrical troubleshooting, sensors and data systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and interface control documentsExperience developing and executing test procedures and test plansStrong understanding of system verification and validation processesExperience coordinating cross functional teams in operational test environmentsUnderstand the Test Like You Fly assessment and exception processExcellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skillsExperience working collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environmentAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications:M.S. degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline10+ years of relevant experienceExperience with spacecraft, launch vehicles, lunar systems or human spaceflight programsFamiliarity with RF systems, telemetry, command and data handling systemsExperience with scripting or automation tools such as C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, NI test stands or other languagesPrior experience leading integrated vehicle testing or launch campaign operationsLeadership expectations:Demonstrate strong ownership and accountabilityDrive execution with urgency while maintaining safety and qualityBuild strong relationships across engineering and operations teamsMentor developing engineers and promote team growthProactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategiesMaintain composure and decision making ability during high temp test operations.Culture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
