CustodianPosition Title: CustodianLocation: System-widePay Grade: Salary Schedule Pay Type: Salary - Non-Exempt Retirement: RSAReports To: Maintenance Supervisor Contract Work Year: Part-time, 12 months - up to 6 hours per week or as neededMinimum Qualifications: Lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Lifting up to 75 pounds. Effective oral communication skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintains sanitary and safe facilities.Provides adequate arrangements for meetings, classrooms, and events.Minimizes property damage, loss and liability.Cleans school facilities (classrooms, offices, multi-purpose rooms, grounds, windows, restrooms, sinks, carpet, floors, garbage cans, wastebaskets, gym, cafeteria, and other areas as designed by the Principal).Delivers a variety of items (supplies, mail, packages, furniture) for the purpose of distributing the materials to the appropriate parties.Informs principal or supervisor regarding items of safety and/or proper maintenance of facilities.Secures facilities and grounds for safety, minimizing property damage, loss and liability (unlock/lock doors, secure gates, checks windows, turns lights off/on, operates heating/facility equipment, etc.).Repairs furniture, equipment, and minor building damage to ensure items are available for use and in safe condition.Maintains regular and appropriate attendance and is on time for assignments.Other duties as assigned by the SuperintendentImportant NotesEssential Duties: Job descriptions are designed and intended only to summarize the essential duties, responsibilities, qualifications, and requirements for the purpose of clarifying the general nature and scope of a position's role as part of the overall organization.
