Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required. Minimum of 1 year of travel experience preferred. License: Current Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: BLS ACLS Must-Have: Experience in General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Trauma, and Neuro procedures. Experience with Epic charting system preferred. Description: Operating Room Registered Nurse needed. Responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating professional nursing care delivered to surgical patients. Provides specialized care and treatment to patients. Directs and supervises ancillary nursing personnel. Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team. May scrub or circulate surgical cases. Maintains professional standards of nursing practice. Ability to make fine discrimination in sound is required. Must be able to work with bodily fluids and substances. Requires contact with patients under a variety of circumstances. Must handle emergencies or crisis situations. Position subject to varying and unpredictable situations. High-risk due to exposure to bodily fluids. Weekend and on-call requirements apply. Preferred previous charge experience. Patient ratio experience and work history verification required. Candidates must provide accurate work history information going back 7 years. Certifications must be current and in hand at the time of application. Modules may be required during orientation. Flexibility regarding pre-approved time off is necessary. Local candidates are accepted. Must be available for lab work after signing.
