Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care UnitAmerican TravelerYakima, Washington, United States$2,275.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)Assignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (Tele/Onc) role requiring ACLS/BLS certification and prior PCU or cardiac telemetry experience.DetailsWork on the 2EW Tele/Onc unit within a 226-bed non-profit community hospital, with 34 beds on the unit.Care for a mix of general medical, cardiac, and oncology patients, including DMII, GI, GU, COVID, PNA, AMS, TIA, AKI, sepsis, stroke, CHF, MI, afib with RVR, and NSTEMI casesHigh volume of post-cath lab patients requiring TR band and fresh cath monitoring with q15 min checksMay care for oncology patients but not required to administer chemotherapy unless specifiedHigh Spanish-speaking (30%) and underserved patient populationUses Epic EMR12-hour Day shifts (7a-7p) and Night shifts (7p-7a)36 hours per week with weekend rotation required at least twice per monthNo on-call requirementsFloating required within scope throughout the hospitalAny color scrubs permittedRequirementsActive WA or Compact RN license requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum 1 year of PCU experience requiredFirst-time travelers considered with at least 2 years total nursing experience, including 1 year in PCUSkilled in trach care, chest tube management, TR band care, post-cath lab care, and central line maintenanceMust be comfortable reading, interpreting, and measuring cardiac rhythmsExperience caring for patients on BiPAP and high-flow oxygen requiredComfortable managing cardiac patients and titratable drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, digoxin, Bumex, and LasixAdditional InformationProvide compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse and often underserved patient populationSupport a fast-paced cardiac and post-procedural care environment with frequent post-cath lab admissionsCollaborate within a general medical, cardiac, and oncology care team settingFirst-time travelers are welcome to apply if experience requirements are met
