Marietta Country Club Position Title: Server Department: Food & Beverage Reports To: Restaurant Manager, Banquet Manager, or Food & Beverage Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: Kennesaw, Georgia Position Summary Marietta Country Club is seeking a professional, service-oriented Server to join our Food & Beverage team. As one of Northwest Georgia's premier private, member-owned country clubs, we are committed to delivering exceptional hospitality and personalized service to our members and guests. The Server plays a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences by providing attentive, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service while upholding the Club's high standards of excellence. Essential Duties And Responsibilities The duties listed below are representative of the responsibilities of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs require. Member & Guest Service Welcome members and guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor. Present menus and provide detailed knowledge of menu items, daily specials, beverages, wine, beer, and cocktails. Make recommendations based on member preferences and dietary needs. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Club's Point-of-Sale (POS) system. Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally according to Club service standards. Anticipate member needs and respond promptly to requests. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and resolve concerns in a courteous and professional manner. Maintain a positive and engaging relationship with members by delivering exceptional hospitality. Dining Room Operations Set, clear, and reset tables in accordance with Club standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, patios, service stations, and side stations. Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties. Ensure dining areas remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready throughout service. Accurately process member charges and payment transactions. Assist with banquet functions, private events, and Club activities as assigned. Teamwork & Communication Communicate effectively with culinary, bar, and management teams to ensure timely and accurate service. Work collaboratively with fellow servers and support staff to provide seamless member experiences. Attend pre-shift meetings and participate in ongoing training and development. Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other Food & Beverage areas when needed. Safety & Compliance Follow all Marietta Country Club policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Practice responsible alcohol service in accordance with Georgia law. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Wear the approved uniform and maintain professional grooming standards at all times. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience Previous serving experience in a restaurant, country club, hotel, or hospitality environment preferred. Private club or fine dining experience is highly desirable but not required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Exceptional customer service and hospitality skills. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods. Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. Ability to quickly learn menus, ingredients, allergens, and beverage offerings. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Commitment to providing outstanding member service. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull trays, dishes, and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to work indoors and outdoors during Club events as needed. Work Schedule This position requires a flexible schedule based on Club operations and member needs, including: Days Evenings Weekends Holidays Special events and Club functions Hours may vary based on seasonal business demands.
