Job Summary The Operator II position will be responsible for daily warehouse distribution tasks, including but not limited to the timely and efficient operations such as receiving, shipping, assembly, material handling, and all other distribution center tasks as assigned. This role will coordinate with their team and their assigned leaders to ensure the distribution center meets or exceeds all company goals, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and assembly. This role will be assigned tasks and review daily workload, ensuring that all workload is complete. It is your duty to ensure you choose to work safely using all necessary information and tools to carry out your daily workload. This role should have flexibility to support any distribution warehouse operation as required and assigned. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform daily tasks in the Warehousing Department, including picking, packing, kitting of materials, receiving, inventory control, operating a forklift, and preparing product for use throughout the facility. Ensure all required materials are accounted for and ready for upcoming orders. Work closely with your supervisor to maintain a lean and efficient workflow to meet schedules. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ensure Purple's excellence in quality is maintained. Pass all drug tests and obtain certification to operate all PIT and other DC equipment. Operate a pallet stretch-wrapping machine. Required Skills, Education, Experience Understanding of quality expectations. Ability to use technology-related equipment (e.g., mobile scanners, radios, tablets, computers). Pass a drug test and obtain certification for all PIT equipment used in the DC. Outstanding communication skills. Attention to detail. Teamwork orientation and a desire to support co-workers and maintain a safe work environment. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach. Physical Requirements Occasional physical activities may include ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and related movements; moving oneself in various positions to accomplish tasks; communicating with others to exchange information. Constant physical activities may include remaining in a stationary position, standing for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or relocating from one worksite to another, adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, performing repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers, operating machinery or power tools, operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, and assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work. Environmental Conditions Occasional environmental conditions may include low or high temperatures and exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. Constant environmental conditions may include noisy environments and hazardous conditions. Work Hours This full-time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week. This is a good-faith estimate, and actual hours may vary based on business needs.
