About us

RootedCare+ started with a family caring for a grandmother living with dementia, and how much of that care happened quietly, between appointments. Today we build Roo, a text-message companion for aging adults, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and people managing chronic conditions, along with the family members and care teams who support them.

Roo is used by state health programs, primary care practices and care partners across the country. We’re expanding into new states, health systems and partnerships, and we’d love your help getting there.

The role

• We’re looking for an experienced program and operations leader to help us deliver on what we’ve promised and grow from here.
• You’ll keep our programs, partners and day-to-day operations running smoothly, working closely with our CEO and a senior team across care, product and engineering.
• This role is a great fit if you enjoy both the big picture and the details, and you like being hands-on.

What you’ll do

• Lead program delivery. Track deliverables, prepare monthly reporting and invoice documentation, and keep enrollment on pace across our state and partner programs.
• Be our partners’ day-to-day lead. Keep projects on scope, follow through on commitments, and make sure everyone stays in the loop.
• Guide new proposals. Work alongside our proposal writer to manage RFP and grant timelines, gather inputs, and submit on time.
• Keep the engine running. Own our meeting rhythm, scheduling, onboarding and system access, and project tools (Asana or Linear).
• Partner with our CEO. Act as a chief-of-staff partner, helping keep priorities, commitments and follow-ups on track and preparing for key meetings.
• Help us grow. Pitch in on special projects as they come up, from new state launches to compliance setup.

Who you are

• Seven or more years leading programs or operations, ideally in healthcare, aging services or community-based care
• Comfortable owning work from start to finish and making good calls on your own
• A clear, warm communicator with partners, funders and teammates
• Organized and detail-minded: you love a good tracker and a well-written recap
• Based in Georgia or the Southeast
• Self-starter

• Nice to have: experience with state or federally funded programs (Medicaid, ACL, Area Agencies on Aging, HCBS), or a background in aging, IDD or community health worker programs.
