We believe fulfillment should be accurate, responsive, and transparent. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Receiving and Inventory Lead who can help us maintain those standards as we grow.

About the Role

The Receiving and Inventory Lead owns the accurate and timely receipt, organization, and tracking of products entering our warehouse. You will coordinate daily inbound activity, work alongside the warehouse team, maintain accurate inventory records, and resolve receiving discrepancies before they create downstream problems.

This is a working lead position. You should be comfortable directing and training team members while also performing receiving, counting, labeling, putaway, and inventory-control work yourself.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inbound receiving and putaway activities.
• Assign tasks and provide direction to receiving team members.
• Receive, unload, count, inspect, label, and organize incoming products.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and inbound shipment records.
• Enter received inventory accurately into the warehouse management system.
• Identify shortages, overages, damage, incorrect items, labeling problems, and other receiving exceptions.
• Photograph, document, and escalate discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure inventory is labeled and placed in the correct warehouse locations.
• Perform cycle counts, location audits, and inventory reconciliations.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine their root causes.
• Maintain organized receiving, staging, quarantine, and storage areas.
• Train employees on receiving, inventory, safety, and product-handling procedures.
• Monitor receiving accuracy, productivity, and turnaround time.
• Communicate clearly with operations and account-management teams about inbound shipment issues.
• Maintain accurate records to support inventory traceability.
• Help improve receiving and inventory processes as warehouse volume grows.
• Support picking, packing, shipping, returns, and other warehouse functions when necessary.
• Follow and reinforce all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of warehouse receiving, inventory control, or related experience.
• Experience using a warehouse management system, inventory software, barcode scanners, or similar technology.
• Strong counting, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ability to prioritize work and remain accurate in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work the posted schedule and occasional overtime or weekends when business needs require it.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of warehouse lead, employee-training, or team-coordination experience.
• Experience working in ecommerce fulfillment or a third-party logistics warehouse.
• Experience with cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy investigation.
• Experience handling multiple clients, brands, or inventory programs.
• Familiarity with retail compliance, wholesale, Amazon, or direct-to-consumer fulfillment requirements.

• Inventory variances are investigated and resolved.

• Other departments can rely on the accuracy of the inventory available in the system.
