Veterinary Technician – Surgery Hillside Veterinary Clinic, Dallas, TX – Full‑time Schedule: Monday – Friday (7am-3pm) Job Responsibilities Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow. Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Act requirements for credentialed veterinary technicians. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on membership options, medications, and additional treatments. Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the practice system’s support. Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean, sterile, and organized. Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members. Experience & Skills Requirements Required: 2+ years of continuous veterinary technician work in direct animal/patient care. Required: Previous surgery experience. LVT, RVT, CVT, VTS (ECC) encouraged to apply. Desire to practice empathetic, gold‑standard medicine benefiting patients. Team oriented with an ability to collaborate and support each other. Positive, kind communication with patients, team members, and clients. Desire to grow and advance as a veterinary technician.
