Quality InspectorInspects incoming raw materials while utilizing sampling plan, approved engineering prints, and various instruments and software within inspection/metrology lab.Verifies specified dimensions of product or material (incoming & in-process inspections)First piece inspections & reportingCustomer and supplier PPAP dimensional layoutsExamines defective parts to determine cause of defectInspects to all print specifications and conformanceMaintains records regarding inspection and testing resultsAssists in Dock Audits / Process AuditsSupports zero defect culture (Quality, HSE)Support to Quality, Production, PPE, & Maintenance TeamsUses inspection tooling (i.e.: calipers, scales, optical comparator, micrometers, plug gages, microscope, thread gages, etc.)CMM Programming/operationGage maintenance, control, & calibration (MSA)Process Capability StudiesDevelops master bubble, inspection plans, ensure revision controlEnsures effective product containment activities when requiredOrganizes on-site sorting activities when required (internal / 3rd party)Assists in GP 12 / Safe Launch ActivitiesSupports to ensure compliance to IATF-16949 & ISO 14001 / 45001QualificationsBlueprints, GD&T, metrology background/experience is requiredPPAP, GP-12 / Safe LaunchStrong attention to detailStrong ability to adapt to changeKnowledge of calendar, email, internet, and spreadsheet softwareSolid works, and Microsoft AccessHigh School Diploma or GED3-5 years quality inspection experience required3-5 years similar manufacturing industry experience preferredAdditional InformationCompetitive compensation packagesPaid Time Off (starts at 17 days a year)Medical, Dental, VisionGenerous 401k matchEducation tuition reimbursement programOpportunities for AdvancementComprehensive Training Program and access to Online LearningHours: This is a full-time position with hours starting at 8:00am and ending at 4:30pm, M-F (40 hours/week).
