About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long Term Acute Care ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty License: State RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - One year of EPIC experience - Experience with Omnicell medication system - Ability to float to other units as required Description: This position requires working 3x12 hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Floating is required if the unit has a need. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, which may change based on the need. The unit accepts first-time travelers depending on experience in the specialty. The patient population includes adults aged 18 and above, focusing on vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injuries, and tracheostomy/PEG care. The unit consists of a 12-bed ICU and a 31-bed medical-surgical unit, with staff working in both areas. The minimum patient ratio is 2 patients per nurse during the day and night shifts, and 3 patients on weekends. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Staff must float to other units and campuses when requested due to census concerns. Travelers must have demonstrated competencies for tasks performed in floating assignments.
