Security Officer Guest Services Desk

Job Description

As a Security Officer Guest Services Desk in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, monitor access activity, and support security-related operations through strong communication and professional presence. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service while working with a team that values people first, acts with integrity, and brings agile, reliable, and innovative support to the property each day.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
Monitor front desk operations, greet visitors, manage access control processes, and verify credentials in accordance with property policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Support tenant, guest, and vendor interactions by answering questions, providing directions, and documenting security-related events, requests, and/or unusual activity.
Help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations through attentive presence at the front desk, visitor screening, and consistent application of post procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
