We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Encinitas, CA. In this role, you will provide critical imaging procedures, patient education, and age-specific care within a high-standard, patient-centered environment. - Advanced Imaging Procedures: Perform high-quality diagnostic examinations and age-specific imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the healthcare team, specifically supporting inpatient and Emergency Department (ED) workflows.
- Regulatory & Quality Control: Adhere strictly to safety standards and regulatory requirements, actively participating in Quality Control (QC) and Performance Improvement (PI) activities.
- Patient Care & Education: Provide compassionate, age-specific care and essential education to patients, ensuring comfort and clear communication throughout the imaging process.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain your own clinical competency and mandatory requirements while working efficiently alongside the defined healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
- Setting: Inpatient Health System / Emergency Department (ED) Environment
- Hours: 8-hour evening shifts (40 hours per week, Sunday - Saturday)
- Shift Times: Evenings (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)(schedule notified 4 weeks in advance).
- Call Requirements: Two (2) overnight call shifts per pay period (notified 4 weeks in advance).
- Certifications: Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold a California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification, along with a California Fluoroscopy Permit.
- Life Support: Must hold an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 6+ months of recent Radiology experience in an inpatient health system setting. Inpatient and ED experience is required; Operating Room (OR) and Fluoroscopy experience is preferred.
- Travel Experience: Minimum of 1 year of prior travel assignment experience required.
- Preferred Skills: Experience working in the same modality for another inpatient hospital, and 2+ years of total experience is highly preferred.
- A structured daytime schedule with shift details provided well in advance.
