Warehouse Associate I
Our client, a leader in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a Warehouse Associate I to join their team. You will be part of the warehouse operations supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Union City, CA (94587)
Pay Rate: $21 per hour
Shift: Monday-Friday: 12:30 AM - 7:30 AM and Saturday: 11:00 PM - 6:30 AM (5 days per week required; Sundays + 1 other day off per week)
What's the Job?
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute orders to sales associates for processing
- Read customer orders, work orders, and shipping requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or shipped
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and visitors
- Complete work safely, adhering to all safety policies and procedures
What's Needed?
- Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Experience in dock or warehouse operations in the transportation industry is preferred
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Experience using handheld scanners
