Our Back-of-House Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety and quality standards, and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence. A Back-of-House Shift Leader's two main areas of focus are executing kitchen operations efficiently and coaching/developing Back-of-House Team Members. They lead by example and set the standard for speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and teamwork in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee Back of House operations during assigned shifts
• Ensure food quality, accuracy, speed, and presentation meet Chick-fil-A standards
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation procedures
• Coach, train, and develop kitchen team members in real time
• Manage shift execution including station placement, breaks, and production flow
• Monitor product levels and communicate needs proactively
• Partner closely with Front of House leaders to ensure smooth handoff and service flow
• Troubleshoot operational challenges quickly and effectively
• Uphold Chick-fil-A values and culture on every shift

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Previous kitchen or leadership experience preferred
• Strong understanding of food safety and operational procedures, with a keen sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Dependable, coachable, and solution-oriented
• Clear communicator with a team-first mindset
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
