Hutch Auto Group in Paintsville, KY is looking for an experienced, driven Used Car Director, with a proven track record of success in automotive used car management, to be in charge of our CDJR, Ford, and Chevrolet locations. This is a performance-driven leadership position. Candidates must have a proven, verifiable track record of success managing a profitable used-vehicle operation and has consistently demonstrated the ability to acquire the right inventory, manage turn and aging, maximize used-car profitability, and develop a high-performing sales team. What You'll Do: Take full ownership of the dealership's used-vehicle operation Develop and execute a profitable pre-owned strategy Manage used inventory acquisition, appraisal, pricing, aging, and turn Analyze market data and adjust pricing to maximize profitability Monitor and improve used-car gross profit and overall department performance Lead, coach, and hold the used-car sales team accountable Establish disciplined appraisal and acquisition processes Manage inventory aging, wholesale activity, and inventory levels Work closely with Sales, Finance, Service, and Recon Ensure vehicles are properly reconditioned, photographed, merchandised, and advertised Review daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs and take action based on performance Build processes that create consistent results, accountability, and profitability Required Qualifications: Proven, verifiable track record of success in automotive used-car management — REQUIRED Previous experience as a Used Car Manager, Pre-Owned Director, Used Car Director, or comparable leadership position Demonstrated history of achieving used-car sales, gross-profit, inventory-turn, and/or profitability objectives Strong knowledge of used-vehicle appraisals, inventory management, pricing, acquisition, and market analysis Tech savvy Proven ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and manage sales personnel Strong understanding of dealership KPIs and financial performance Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and negotiation skills High level of accountability and attention to detail Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record What We Mean by "Proven Track Record" We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate results , not simply describe responsibilities.
