As a Security Officer Access - Full Time in Cedar Rapids, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. In this access control role, you will help to deter incidents through a visible presence while delivering customer service rooted in teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture that values being agile, reliable, and innovative.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and security-related policies for an industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, review identification and authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, materials, and production spaces.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and/or contacting site leadership and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Document visitor activity, deliveries, and access-related events, and communicate clearly with staff regarding security-related concerns, policy questions, and/or operational issues.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, the business, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
