Job Summary:
The Welder will be responsible for performing various tasks, which may include MIG/TIG welding and metal finishing. The role requires a high level of precision and expertise in metalworking, with a focus on creating high-quality finished products that meet exacting standards. Please refer to the following sections for a detailed description of the responsibilities related to welding duties. Each Welder may perform one or more of the following responsibilities or may focus primarily on a single responsibility, depending on the needs of the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

• MIG/TIG welding and metal finishing.
• Spot weld set up and operation.
• Stud weld set up and operation.
• Familiarity with various metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum
• Distribute finished work to subsequent work centers.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Strong ability to use various measuring tools accurately.
• Read, interpret, and understand work orders, drawings, and production schedules to determine specifications, such as material to be used, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Inspect the materials and finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.

Basic Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of safety practices across different types of machinery and processes.
• Technical training or vocational certification in metalworking (optional but advantageous)
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with tools and machinery used in metalworking, welding, fiber laser and press brake.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to switch between different tasks and machines as required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Works in a controlled manufacturing environment; is required to lift up to 50 lbs. and may be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with materials and equipment. Must be able to work overtime and/or flexible shifts.
