This role includes working with several students throughout the day, interpreting for them in all school settings. Assignments will likely involve supporting 1-2 students at a time. What you’ll need:

• SLI certification or equivalent state credentials
• Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
• Fluency in American Sign Language
• Flexibility to work onsite or virtually
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide references upon request

What you’ll do:

• Interpret for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students throughout the school day
• Facilitate equal access to instruction and school activities
• Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and support specialists
• Adjust interpreting approach based on individual student needs
