Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional patient care. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in post-operative care and a commitment to high-quality nursing practices.Unit InformationUnit Type: Medical/Surgical/OrthopedicNumber of Beds: 32Nurse-Patient Ratios: 4:1 (with 2-3 Patient Care Technicians on day shift)Required QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience, preferably within the last 6 months.ACLS certification required.Strong post-operative assessment and time management skills are essential.Travel nurses must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, with a maximum of 2 attempts.Completion of a pass/fail simulation lab on the first day of orientation.ONS Chemo Provider Card is preferred, but not mandatory.Patient PopulationPatients may include those recovering from various surgical procedures, including but not limited to:Colorectal surgeriesUrological surgeriesBariatric surgeriesHepatobiliary surgeriesHysterectomiesBreast reconstructionsChemotherapy and Oncology patientsShift and SchedulingSelf-scheduling is available.Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period.Holiday rotations will be followed.Standby is monitored by central staffing.Floating to other medical/surgical/tele units is required, and telemetry experience is essential.Support and OrientationDedicated orientation with a preceptor over 2 shifts.Telemetry monitoring equipment includes CPAP and high-flow for palliative care patients only.Additional InformationThe facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, and up to 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks.
