Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with telemetry experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. The role involves providing acute care to medical-surgical patients, particularly those requiring telemetry monitoring, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions through comprehensive physical and clinical evaluations.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry cardiac data to identify abnormal rhythms or patterns.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately within the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management, including post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
• Proven proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent physical assessment skills and adherence to A.I.D.E.T behaviors.
• NIHSS certification preferred but not required.
