Department: 34517 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Critical Care: Emergency Room Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 35.1 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 1130-2330 Three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend required. Pay Range: $18.85 - $28.30 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED equivalent. Prior experience in hospital environment, patient care, and transportation preferred. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: CPR course required within 30 days of hire. Completion of Oxygen Training class with certification for administering oxygen required after hired. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas via wheelchair, stretcher or beds. Maintains a safe environment for patients, self, guests and co-workers. Knowledgeable of transporting patients with oxygen, intravenous pumps and restraints. Communicates to team, co-workers, patients and guests in a positive and professional manner. Takes initiative for performance and professional development. Knowledgeable of all aspects and functionalities of the Transport Tracking System. Provides age/developmentally appropriate assistance in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
