PATIENT SERVICES LEAD (FULL TIME)

Patient Services Lead We are hiring immediately for a full‑time PATIENT SERVICES LEAD position at Emory Hillandale Hospital (2801 DeKalb Medical Parkway, Lithonia, GA 30058). The schedule is full time with variable days and hours; weekends are required. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour. Job Summary Patient Services Leads coordinate patient meal service and respond to special requests and nutritional needs for the Patient Dining Program. They ensure that Dining Associates are properly trained and that units are staffed to provide high‑quality service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee systems and processes to accomplish the strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program. Supervise Dining Associates, guiding them in helping patients with menu selections, assembling, and delivering/pick‑up of meal trays. Work with caregivers and the culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences. Interact with nursing staff and evaluate daily the meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval processes. Respond promptly to patients’ needs and communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel. Assist dietitians with monitoring patients who cannot eat orally, are on liquid diets, or have specific calorie requirements. Adhere to facility confidentiality and HIPAA policies. Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO requirements. Follow HACCP guidelines and health and sanitation regulations. Complete all required reports as outlined in company policies and procedures. Conduct daily associate team meetings following the brand‑specific “GR8 Start Meeting” guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to communicate written and verbal information, including safety rules and procedural manuals. Aptitude for operating the hospital’s ADT system and other computer‑based systems that manage patient care records. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and operate food delivery carts; reasonable accommodations can be made for qualified individuals with disabilities. Requires previous food service and lead experience.
