Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,585 a week in all, a taxable rate of $36.62 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position for night shifts in an acute care setting. The role provides comprehensive nursing care to neonates in a Level IV unit, including assessment, care planning, interventions, evaluation, documentation, and assistance with specialized procedures. The position also supports care in the pediatric intensive care unit and pediatrics departments as needed.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Active ND and compact Registered Nurse license, or willingness to obtain; active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; minimum of 2 years of neonatal intensive care experience; ability to administer medications through a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC); proficiency with neonatal assessments, intravenous care, umbilical lines, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), nasal cannula, oral and intravenous medications, feedings, and gastrostomy tubes.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC charting and Level IV neonatal intensive care.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include caring for critical, intermediate, and growing or feeding infants; assisting with intubations, spinal taps, peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement, intravenous starts, and admissions; and using conventional and high-frequency ventilators, nitric oxide, cooling equipment, infusion pumps, patient monitors, and medication dispensing technology. The role includes training on the electronic charting system and unit orientation with a designated preceptor.
