Medical Assistant

Location: MemorialCare, Newport Beach, CA
Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
Duration: 8-12 weeks
Positions Available: 1
Responsibilities:
- Assist in breast surgical oncology practice as a medical assistant & scribe
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations)
- Document patient history, medications, and allergies
- Handle pharmacy calls and patient refill requests
- Perform telephone triage and follow-up calls
- Room patients and review lab test results
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Experience in Oncology/Surgical Breast Oncology required
- Local candidates only (must live within 50 miles)
- First-time travelers NOT accepted
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay Rate: Based on experience (Local candidates receive local rates)
- Base Pay Rate: $23.00/hr
- Holiday Pay: Applies to major holidays

- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
- Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- RTO (Requested Time Off): Must be pre-approved and submitted at the time of application
