Position: Quick Service Restaurant General Manager

Salary: $44K - $50K ++

Location: Copperas Cove, Texas

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead the daily operations of a quick-service restaurant. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for guest service, team development, operational excellence, and financial performance. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, training, food quality, customer satisfaction, inventory management, and profitability.

The successful candidate will lead by example, foster a positive team culture, maintain high operational standards, and ensure the restaurant consistently delivers an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, preparation, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Monitor service speed, order accuracy, drive-thru performance, and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure opening, closing, cash-handling, and security procedures are followed consistently.

Leadership and Team Development

• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members and shift leaders.
• Create and maintain employee schedules that align with business demands and labor budgets.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that promotes accountability and employee engagement.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues appropriately.
• Develop future leaders and support succession planning within the restaurant.

Financial and Business Performance

• Manage restaurant sales, labor costs, food costs, and controllable operating expenses.
• Review financial reports and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Execute strategies to increase sales, improve profitability, and maximize operational efficiency.
• Control food waste, monitor inventory levels, and maintain appropriate purchasing practices.
• Ensure accurate cash reconciliation, deposits, and adherence to financial controls.

Guest Service and Community Engagement

• Ensure guests receive friendly, prompt, and professional service.
• Address guest complaints and resolve service issues quickly and effectively.
• Implement company promotions, marketing initiatives, and local sales-building activities.
• Build strong relationships with guests and support the restaurant's reputation within the community.

Food Safety and Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary restaurant at all times.
• Ensure proper food storage, temperature monitoring, product rotation, and sanitation procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational records and ensure equipment is properly maintained.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably within a quick-service or fast-casual restaurant environment.
• Previous experience as a General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or equivalent leadership role preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L statements, labor management, food costs, and inventory control.
• Proven ability to improve sales, profitability, guest satisfaction, and operational performance.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and applicable health department regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with restaurant POS systems, scheduling software, and standard business applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or business management is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment as required, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to work hands-on alongside the restaurant team during peak business periods.
