Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at an acute care Magnet hospital in Illinois, requiring high-risk telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute care Magnet hospital setting with 40 beds on the Telemetry unit and 222 total facility beds
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Patient ratios of 1:5–6
• Floating required to all inpatient units at both campuses within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required — approximately 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending IL license not accepted)
• Active MO RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• High-risk telemetry experience required
• Cardiac drip management experience required
• Sheath pull experience required
• Central line management experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Navy scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
