Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Park Bend Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in a subacute/skilled nursing setting .

The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide quality, patient-centered therapy services to residents with a variety of medical, orthopedic, and rehabilitation needs. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping residents achieve greater mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility, transfers, balance, gait training, and strengthening activities.
• Implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist and appropriate healthcare team members.
• Educate residents and caregivers regarding exercises, mobility, safety, and use of assistive devices.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary communication and care planning as appropriate.
• Follow facility policies, professional standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Texas .
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to resident care.
