This role oversees core accounting processes, manages the month‑end close activities, and upholds strong internal controls across assigned areas. The Manager, Accounting provides technical accounting guidance, reviews and approves team work, and ensures consistent application of company policies and accounting standards.In addition to managing workflow, this role focuses on developing team capabilities through coaching, training, and performance feedback. The Manager, Accounting partners with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex issues, support audits, and drive operational efficiencies. This position reports to the Director, North America Accounting.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead month‑end close activities, including journal entries, prepaids/accruals, and balance sheet reconciliationsOversee preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packagesReview trial balance and variance analyses; present key findings to managementManage external and internal audit engagements and ensure timely completionMaintain and monitor internal controls, including SOX compliance and control self‑assessmentsEnsure adherence to corporate accounting policies and remediate control gaps as neededResearch accounting issues and document conclusions with appropriate GAAP or local regulatory referencesProvide technical accounting guidance to team members and business partnersServe as liaison with Corporate Accounting and cross‑functional stakeholdersManage and develop a team of accounting professionals through coaching, performance feedback, and goal settingOversee hiring, onboarding, and training for accounting staffFoster a high‑performance, collaborative team environment, and lead the team to adapt department priorities as well as short-term projectsLead workflow and process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and controlSupport system updates, reporting improvements, and cross‑functional projectsLead a culture of continuous improvement within the Accounting teamJob requirementsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplineCPA or Master degree/MBA in Accounting/Finance5 + years of relevant Accounting/Finance experience with a minimum of 3 years in a multi-national U.S. corporation or global accounting firm2+ years of proven, successful leadership and management experienceComprehensive knowledge and experience with U.S. GAAPExperience with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)Strong experience with IQMS highly preferredExperience with large, complex global ERP systems (Oracle or SAP)Intermediate/Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel in financial and data analysisIn-office role and requires work on-site during core business hoursPREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCEBig 4 public accounting experience or equivalent technical foundation Demonstrated success implementing process or systems improvements in an accounting environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operational and corporate functionsExcellent analytical ability and strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and to lead teams through changeStrategic and critical thinking skills with a results‑oriented mindset#LI-MM1IND123Target Market Salary Range:Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
