Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.Use Your Skills To Make An ImpactSoftware Engineer II - Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.2 -5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on modern web application development.Experience integrating applications with REST and SOAP APIs.Working knowledge of Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development practices.Hands-on experience developing front-end applications using: React.jsNext.jsTypeScriptHTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principlesExperience with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, including deployment, monitoring, and application scalability.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control systems such as Git.Knowledge of security and compliance requirements, including PCI, HIPAA, and CMS standards.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in Agile development environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience with containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with AEM integration and Next.js server-side rendering (SSR), routing, caching, and hydration.Experience supporting production deployments and post-release activities.Exposure to performance optimization, application monitoring, and observability tools.Knowledge in GraphQL, including query and mutation development, and experience with Apollo and/or Relay clients.Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems, including exposure to technologies such as Kafka.Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Pay Range: $80,900 - $110,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
