About the Role

The Company is in search of a Deputy General Counsel to join its legal team. The successful candidate will be a senior attorney with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state. This role is pivotal in managing the company's legal function and providing strategic legal counsel to the business. Key responsibilities include advising on legal risks, translating complex legal issues into practical recommendations, and partnering with various departments to ensure legal compliance and risk management. The Deputy General Counsel will also be involved in overseeing major commercial agreements, corporate compliance programs, and will be expected to have a strong background in corporate and commercial law, contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Applicants for the Deputy General Counsel position at the company should have 8-12+ years of legal experience, with a preference for those with substantial in-house counsel experience. The role requires a proven track record in managing complex legal matters, including litigation, investigations, and regulatory issues. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to mentor and develop legal professionals, and a demonstrated capacity to balance legal risk with the company's operational and financial goals.
