Manager, Client Services (Sports/Retail)

Location: Lower East Side, NYC (Hybrid, 3 days in-office) Department: Client Services Reporting to: Senior Manager, Client Services Starting Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000

POSITION SUMMARY

Fohr, an influencer marketing platform and full‑service agency in NYC, is currently seeking a full‑time Manager to join our dynamic client services team with a focus on the sports vertical. As a Manager, Client Services you are responsible for the day‑to‑day client experience, influencer success and campaign results. You take the lead in budget management, invoicing, and campaign‑level reporting. You bring a genuine passion for the sports industry — whether cultivated through professional experience or personal fandom — and you understand how sports culture, athletes, and fan communities intersect with influencer marketing. Working with minimal guidance, you manage campaigns from start to completion, leveraging your prior individual‑contributor experience and Fohr processes. You act as the day‑to‑day client lead, prep meetings, and lead many. You are responsible for successfully managing larger campaigns independently, while providing oversight on others. This role requires strong organizational and time‑management skills, as you delegate and maintain team‑level campaign timelines and partner with a project manager when necessary. You ensure all team members are well trained on Fohr operational practices and proprietary technology, influencer relations, and campaign management. You must present a high level of competency in these areas. You take the lead on all campaign reporting, using Fohr tools and templates. You review campaign performance data, including sports‑specific KPIs such as event‑driven engagement and seasonal tentpole results, to draw actionable conclusions. You create and maintain an influencer network, and you deeply understand working with influencers and sports talent. You serve as a strategic partner from briefing through content development, posting, and reporting. This role is often a learning experience in management; you are responsible for the professional development of junior team members through 1:1s, feedback, education, and advocacy. You also manage various workstreams, including direction, timeline management, delegation, and review of work. Your success is measured by their success. Reporting directly to a Sr. Manager, you also support senior members in building client relationships across a book of business and are responsible for client retention. Alongside the Sr. Manager, you contribute to cross‑functional responsibilities including professional development, strategic partnership, legal documentation (scoping, contracting), and finances (revenue recognition, invoicing). This role is expected to last 2‑5 years, with a growth trajectory toward Senior Manager.

Industry Fluency: Demonstrate a high level of understanding of the influencer space, staying updated on platform, creator, and sports industry news; express a clear POV that serves both the client and Fohr. Community & Culture: Participate in all influencer, client, and team‑facing events—including sports activations, game‑day experiences, and tentpole cultural moments.

ABOUT YOU

4–8+ years of agency or client‑side marketing experience. Must have influencer marketing experience. Experience with or a passionate love of the sports industry—knowledge of athletes, leagues, sports media, and fan culture is a strong plus. Experienced individual contributor with 1–2 years managing indirect or direct reports. Proven experience supporting similar volumes of business, clients, and budgets. Proven experience across all required tasks: budgets/timelines, talent/influencer contracting and negotiations, content briefing and review, reporting/campaign analysis, and team management. Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills. Active on social media (TikTok, Instagram) with a pulse on sports and culture content. Extremely personable and able to relate to athletes, agents, and sports brand partners. Writing samples and presentations may be requested. References required (preferred: client, peer, supervisor, employee).
