Spa General Manager & Lead Esthetician at Everyday Wellness at Eliza Williams Job Description Everyday Wellness at Eliza Williams is seeking an experienced, hands-on Spa General Manager to support our team, strengthen daily operations, and help guide the continued growth of our independent Providence day spa. This is not a traditional office-only management position. Our General Manager will be actively involved in the rhythm of the spa—leading the front desk, supporting providers, maintaining service standards, assisting with marketing, and helping create a warm, organized experience for every client. The ideal candidate is an experienced esthetician with spa leadership experience. Dual licensure in esthetics and massage therapy is strongly preferred. Primary Responsibilities Oversee daily spa operations and front-desk workflow Serve as the registered supervising manager for the esthetics shop Support, mentor, and help develop our esthetics department Provide esthetics and/or massage services during designated bookable hours Lead opening, closing, and daily operational procedures Support scheduling, client communication, checkout, and service recovery Monitor team accountability, charting, sanitation, and service standards Assist with inventory, ordering, and retail presentation Help manage memberships, gift cards, promotions, and client retention Help coordinate events, community partnerships, and seasonal campaigns Work closely with the owner on hiring, onboarding, training, and business goals Support a respectful, collaborative "One Team, One Spa" culture Required Qualifications Active Rhode Island esthetician or cosmetology license At least one year of professional licensure Eligible and willing to register as the supervising manager of our esthetics shop Spa, salon, hospitality, or wellness management experience Strong front-desk, scheduling, and client-service experience Comfortable holding team members accountable with warmth and professionalism Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of social media and basic digital marketing Availability that aligns with the spa's operating and esthetics-service hours Strongly Preferred Dual Rhode Island licensure in esthetics and massage therapy Experience managing an independent spa or service-based business Experience mentoring estheticians or other wellness providers Familiarity with booking software, memberships, POS systems, and payroll workflows An established understanding of Rhode Island spa licensing and sanitation requirements Position Structure This is a hands-on management role combining general management and administrative hours, front-desk leadership and coverage, marketing and community-outreach responsibilities, and a limited number of bookable service hours based on the candidate's licenses and strengths.
