As a Barista Trainer, you will coached and developed new and existing partners by delivering hands-on training, reinforcing standards, and promoting a culture of customer service excellence. I ensured team members were confident in beverage preparation, equipment operation, food safety, and store procedures while supporting daily café operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.

• Model professionalism, teamwork, and leadership while supporting daily operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Trained, coached, and mentored new baristas on Starbucks beverage recipes, operational procedures, and company standards.

• Assist store leadership with onboarding new partners and evaluating training effectiveness to support successful integration

• Demonstrated proper preparation techniques for handcrafted coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and food items to ensure consistency and quality

• Ensured compliance with Starbucks policies, food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and workplace health and safety procedures.

• Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs

• Prepares and serve food items in line with location standards

• Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits

• Adheres to Aramark?s cash handling policies and procedures

• Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and sanitizing

• Assisted with inventory management, stocking, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products

• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred

• Previous cash handling experience preferred

• Previous experience as a barista preferred

• Basic math & counting skills required

• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision

• Must follow required dress code as assigned

• Able to read and communicate in English and able to follow recipes

• Complete Food Handling Certification as required

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
