Talent and Training Director

The Talent & Training Director leads all aspects of talent management, team development, and training at Chick-fil-A Balm Road. Partnering closely with leadership, this leader attracts, equips, and retains exceptional talent while cultivating a culture rooted in our core values. Through intentional recruitment, onboarding, and growth initiatives, the Talent & Training Director ensures every team member is empowered to thrive, contribute meaningfully, and deliver remarkable guest experiences that reflect the heart of Chick-fil-A Balm Road. What does a day look like as a Talent and Training Director? As the Talent & Training Director, no two days are the same. You'll spend your time interviewing future team members, onboarding new hires, coaching leaders, and developing training programs that help every employee succeed. You'll work alongside the leadership team to strengthen our culture, celebrate team wins, and occasionally jump into restaurant operations to support the team during busy periods. Every day is an opportunity to invest in people, build future leaders, and create an environment where both team members and guests experience the care and excellence that define Chick-fil-A Balm Road. Position Type Full-time Responsibilities Collaborate on hiring efforts and lead interviews, hiring, and onboarding new team members Ensure all new hires are trained on Chick-fil-A standards, Core 4, and Winning Hearts Everyday principles Design, deliver, and monitor training programs for new hires and current team members Evaluate trainers and training effectiveness, ensuring ongoing compliance with Pathway training and operational standards Lead leadership development initiatives, coaching future leaders and building a pipeline of high-performing talent Must be willing to work in Operations alongside team members as business needs require Monitor and coach team members and leaders on performance, guest experience, and operational standards Collaborate with leadership to identify training gaps, process improvements, and opportunities to enhance team performance Track team member progress, performance, and retention through structured check-ins, reviews, and feedback processes Partner with leadership to implement strategies that improve team satisfaction and reduce turnover Ensure consistent application of policies, disciplinary processes, and recognition programs Support internal communication strategies to keep team members informed, motivated, and aligned with restaurant goals Maintain organized administrative and HR records, reports, and systems related to training, onboarding, and team development Facilitate leadership and team meetings to align goals, track progress, and reinforce culture initiatives Other duties as assigned Benefits Access to health, vision & dental insurance with employer monthly contribution Paid Time Off (after one year of employment) Daily Meal Allowance during scheduled shifts Scholarship Opportunities through Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Referral Bonus Program for qualified hires Uniform Stipend Closed on Sundays – time for rest, family, and community Opportunities for growth and leadership development within the restaurant Qualifications and Requirements Must have leadership experience in talent management, training, or team development Must be comfortable supporting and working in Operations as business requires Strong understanding of recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention best practices Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to lead by example, inspire others, and embody Balm Road's core values Proactive, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented with a passion for servant leadership Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings Must be comfortable and able to multitask while working in a fast-paced Have the ability to lift and carry 25 lbs on a regular basis Have the ability to stand for long periods of time #J-18808-Ljbffr Workstream
