And together, we will continue to build world-class products—led by people with different perspectives, backgrounds, and a commitment to innovation in a time when the world faces its greatest cybersecurity threats in history.Your Impact:You will build a new, unprecedented way to orchestrate Zero Trust Segmentation down to the application / pod level, identifying easily blocking pathways of attacks in the container ecosystemYou will understand and enhance modern container platforms such as Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, GKE etc.You will have the opportunity to own and design critical features and subsystems, work out all the details, and defend the design before your peers.You will deliver a rock-solid implementation that is elegant, simple, scalable, stable, secure, and supportable. Our product protects the critical infrastructure of large enterprises. It must work.You will also mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns to help them grow as engineers and become productive members of the team.You will have the opportunity to work with the field organization and key customers to shape this novel product.Your Toolkit:Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent degree. Master's degree a plus8+ years building distributed & scalable software systems.Proficient in at least one higher-level language such as Go, Python, Java, etc.Experience building large, distributed, and scalable software systems.Familiarity with, and passion for Kubernetes and related technologies.Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, networking concepts, and debugging skills.Experience with networking and security controls is a plusGeneral TCP/IP networking knowledgeUnix/Linux programming environment experienceIllumio believes that an environment of unique backgrounds, experiences, viewpoints, and individual contributions drives our success and makes us stronger together.
