Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco or Sunnyvale.

This Senior Strategic Finance Manager role is a high-impact opportunity to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in driving financial visibility, shaping forecasting processes, and influencing strategic decisions that guide the growth of our business.

This role blends strategy and finance, requiring not only strong analytical skills but also the ability to frame insights, influence senior stakeholders, and help solve complex business challenges with data-driven recommendations. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to generate insights that drive performance, efficiency, and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership & Business Performance
  • Own financial performance management across multiple LOBs and Functions. Establish the financial framework and key performance indicators used to evaluate business performance, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and drive accountability against financial and strategic objectives. Provide senior leadership with clear perspectives on business performance and recommended actions.
• Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across multiple functions and LOBs. Establish planning frameworks, align cross-functional stakeholders on key assumptions and priorities, and ensure financial plans reflect the company's strategic objectives. Advise senior leadership on investment priorities, resource allocation, tradeoffs, and potential scenarios.
• Advanced Financial Modeling & Decision Support
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on complex and high-impact business decisions, including go-to-market strategy, potential investments, marketplace dynamics, and growth opportunities. Direct financial modeling and scenario analysis, synthesize findings, and develop recommendations that influence business strategy and executive decision-making.
• Data, Reporting & Process Excellence
  • Define and drive improvements to financial reporting, analytics, data infrastructure, and planning processes. Partner with Finance, Data, and business teams to establish scalable reporting and self-service capabilities, improve data quality, automate recurring processes, and increase the speed and effectiveness of financial decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior leaders across operations, sales, marketing, product, and other functions. Build strong relationships with executives and functional leaders, proactively identify business challenges and opportunities, and use financial insights to influence strategic priorities, operating decisions, and resource allocation.
• Strategic & Executive Analysis
  • Lead financial analysis for the company's highest-priority strategic initiatives and ambiguous business questions. Develop structured perspectives from complex financial and operational information and communicate conclusions, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations through executive-level presentations and discussions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or related fields, including experience leading complex financial and strategic initiatives.
• Experience owning budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and business performance management for a significant business area or multiple functions.
• Financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated ability to evaluate complex business scenarios and translate analysis into strategic recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across functions on complex business, financial, and resource allocation decisions.
• Executive communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and clearly communicate insights, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Business judgment and strategic thinking, with demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex workstreams, establish priorities, and deliver results through both direct ownership and the work of others.

The pay range for this role is $159,000 to $258,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
