Description: The shift is from Friday to Sunday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. The unit has a total of 148 beds. There will be 2-3 staff members on this shift. The equipment used includes GE Revolution 256 slice and GE VCT 64 slice. The documentation system in use is Meditech and Synapse PACS. The shift supports ER volume, and no interventional experience is necessary. Basic CT skills are required, and advanced skills are preferred. The CT Tech will work alongside existing tenured staff members. Procedures performed include various CT exams. A uniform in navy is required. Candidates will review scanning protocols and IV contrast policy during orientation. The department uses one of the most advanced scanners on the market.
