Mobile Equipment Mechanic

Overview Superior Aluminum Alloys is seeking a candidate for a position that repairs and maintains electric, diesel, and gasoline mobile equipment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills. Responsibilities Engage in “Take control of Safety” initiatives Read job orders and observe/listen to equipment to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures Install new ignition systems, align wheels, change or recharge batteries, and replace transmissions and other parts Overhaul gas or diesel engines Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments Lubricate lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings Perform preventative maintenance as designated on mobile equipment Fill out purchase requisitions for parts to be ordered Qualifications High school diploma or 3 years of mobile mechanic experience Basic math skills Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers. #J-18808-Ljbffr Steel Dynamics, Inc
