Java Architect Spring Boot & Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Java Architect on behalf of our client in Orlando, FL / Remote.

We are looking for an experienced Java Architect with deep expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot to lead the architecture and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of architectural leadership and hands-on development experience , with the ability to design modern cloud-native solutions, establish technical standards, and guide engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly preferred, particularly with cloud-native development and event-driven architectures using Google Cloud Pub/Sub .

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define scalable, secure, and maintainable Java-based application architectures .

• Lead the development of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot .

• Architect microservices, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and backend services .

• Design and implement cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .

• Develop event-driven architectures utilizing Google Cloud Pub/Sub .

• Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions.

• Establish and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, and development best practices.

• Provide technical leadership through architecture governance, code reviews, and mentoring .

• Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, and business teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

• Support modern deployment practices using Git, CI/CD, Docker, and containerized environments .

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and enterprise application development.

• Advanced expertise in Spring Framework and Spring Boot .

• Proven experience designing solution architectures, microservices, and distributed systems .

• Strong knowledge of RESTful API and backend service development .

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design, SOLID principles, and design patterns .

• Experience designing scalable, highly available, and maintainable enterprise applications.

• Strong architectural and technical leadership skills.

• Experience conducting code reviews, defining technical standards, and mentoring development teams .

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .

• Experience designing cloud-native applications .

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and Google Cloud Pub/Sub .

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .
