Benefits: 401(k) Competitive salary Free uniforms Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Profit sharing Training & development Job Title: Experienced Sign Fabricator Location: Murfreesboro, TN Department: Production / Manufacturing Reports To: Production Manager / Operations Manager Job Summary The Experienced Sign Fabricator is a skilled production team member responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and preparation of high-quality signage products. This role requires hands‑on expertise in sign construction, including CNC routing, channel letter fabrication, LED installation, welding, and various fastening methods. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, efficient, and experienced in working with a variety of materials and fabrication tools, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Key Responsibilities Sign Fabrication & Assembly Fabricate a wide range of signage including channel letters, cabinets, panels, dimensional letters, and custom signage. Interpret shop drawings, design files, and work orders to produce accurate finished products. Cut, shape, and assemble materials including aluminum, acrylic, PVC, steel, and composites. Equipment Operation Operate and maintain CNC routers for precision cutting and fabrication. Utilize channel letter bending equipment for accurate letter production. Safely operate welding equipment (MIG/TIG preferred) for structural components. Use power tools and basic hand tools efficiently and safely. Electrical & LED Installation Install LED lighting systems in channel letters, cabinets, and other illuminated signage. Perform basic electrical wiring and connections in compliance with company standards and applicable codes. Test lighting components to ensure proper functionality and quality. Finishing & Quality Control Perform finishing tasks including sanding, cleaning, fastening, and final assembly. Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy, durability, and visual appeal. Identify and correct fabrication errors prior to installation or shipment. Shop Organization & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company safety protocols. Properly maintain tools, equipment, and workstations. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work closely with production, design, and installation teams to meet project timelines. Assist in troubleshooting fabrication challenges and improving processes. Support production scheduling and workflow efficiency. Qualifications Required 3+ years of experience in sign fabrication or related manufacturing field. Hands‑on experience with CNC routers. Hands‑on experience with channel letter bending equipment. Hands‑on experience with LED lighting installation. Hands‑on experience with welding (MIG/TIG preferred). Hands‑on experience with mechanical fastening methods. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications. Proficiency with basic hand tools and power tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Experience with sign design software such as Flexi, Illustrator, CorelDRAW. Knowledge of UL 48 sign standards and electrical sign components. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain). Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly. Ability to stand, bend, and work in a production environment for extended periods. Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and fabrication materials. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Overtime opportunities.
