*This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan.

THE ENERGY TEAM Our Energy Group at CEI builds projects from the field to the grid. Whether it's a solar, battery storage, substation, EV charging, microgrid or converter station project, our skilled project managers, engineers and field employees deliver when it matters most. We work with customers on programs of all sizes-those spanning several smaller sites or spanning several thousand acres. Besides building some of the nation's largest utility-scale solar plants and installing more EV charging stations in California than any other contractor, we are dedicated to running a business that is environmentally responsible.

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a Project Engineerready to be on the front lines of a project--giving daily support to the field, project management, and customer teams. Our Project Engineers (PE) are vital in keeping our processes moving along and assists in the execution of project plans. This role will be responsible for specific activities such as coordinating material onsite delivery dates, maintaining RFI, submittals, and change order logs, and will serve as a key point of contact for internal customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as key point of contact with internal customers for specific scopes of work.
• Participates with Project Management on the execution of estimating activities including project bids and change orders.
• Contributes to effective job start meetings and team meetings.
• Supports the team by coordinating material onsite delivery dates with the project schedule.
• Partners with CEI safety professionals to identify hazards and document.
• Maintains complete and accurate RFI, submittal and change order logs. Maintains an organized filing system and structure.
• Maintains current drawing log and distributes new information to team members and subcontractors.
• Maintains close out log. Requests relevant documentation and submits to customer.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN At Cupertino Electric you'll be on a career development path to project management. It's ok if you don't have a deep understanding of electrical construction, just be ready to learn and get fired up. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education and experience that, in the sole judgment and discretion of Company, would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications may qualify.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: None required.

Experience: Zero (0) years of construction or related experience required. Two (2) years of construction or related experience preferred.

Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
