Charge Nurse (RN) - ICU Job Type: Full Time | Days Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for Day Shift with a 2-year commitment Schedule: 3x12s, Days (7a-7p). Holidays and Weekends Required. About the Role Join our team in a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The ICU operates with a 1:2 nurse to patient ratio and includes Telehealth intensivists for immediate support. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, administering specialized treatments, monitoring critical conditions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs. Initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Provide care suitable to the condition and age of each patient. Document medical necessity and maintain accurate records. Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Perform timely and accurate QI assessments. Qualifications Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. AHA Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. AHA ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred. Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and thrive in a stressful environment.
