Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility in McKinney, TX. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of conversion or extension) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Phlebotomist
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Location: McKinney, TX
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 100% blood draw/phlebotomy duties Monday through Friday.
• Arrive at the clinic by 7:45 AM to prepare for the day's patients.
• Collect blood specimens safely and accurately using appropriate venipuncture and collection techniques.
• Properly identify patients, label specimens, and ensure accurate specimen handling and processing.
• Follow established safety, infection-control, and laboratory procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure specimen integrity.
• Provide professional and compassionate patient care during blood collection.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient or specimen concerns.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Overtime may be approved as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Current Phlebotomy certification
• Current BLS certification
• Strong attention to detail and patient-service skills
• Ability to perform blood draws accurately and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Experience working in a clinic, outpatient laboratory, or healthcare environment
