CT Scan Technologist Per Diem Hackettstown

Job Description

Responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Interprets CT protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
• Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
• Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.
• Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:-Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).- Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.- Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.Preferred:- CT Certification preferred
