Accounting Assistant

Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant either part time or full time in the Fitchburg MA area. This position will support the Controller with the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the financial success of a growing organization. The Accounting Assistant will provide administrative and accounting support by assisting with accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations, data entry, financial record maintenance, expense tracking, and other general accounting functions. This position will also assist with month-end processes, maintain organized financial documentation, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. Qualifications Strong foundational knowledge in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to apply basic principles to day-to-day tasks. Experience or familiarity with Bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records. Ability to assist in preparing, understanding, and reviewing Financial Statements. Proficiency in Accounting Software and comfort working with spreadsheets and other digital tools. Excellent numerical accuracy, organization, and time-management skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment. Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping support role is beneficial.
