Senior Accountant

Maryland Heights, MO (SC), 1862 Lackland Hill Parkway, Maryland Heights, MO 63146, USA Mom365 is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support our growing organization. This role is responsible for managing tax and compliance activities, supporting financial reporting, assisting with audits, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of regulatory filings and payments. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and comfortable working across multiple accounting functions while maintaining strict attention to detail and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and file business licenses, registrations, and annual reports with federal, state, and local agencies Provide supporting documentation and schedules for income tax preparation Assist with sales tax, business tax, and excise tax filings and compliance Review estimated tax payments, withholding calculations, and related filings Process timely payments to governmental agencies and other vendors Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and requested documentation Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Participate in annual financial audits and compliance reporting activities Maintain accurate accounting records and support continuous process improvements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field required Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, Accounts Payable, and tax processes Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and overall computer proficiency Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Effective time management and organizational skills Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal stakeholders, external auditors, vendors, and regulatory agencies What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a motivated accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and enjoys collaborating with others to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
