This position will have a target to safely optimize the turn of the metal, while minimizing defects and losses. The successful candidate will need to be reliable, have a strong work ethic, capable of completing quality work, and be self-motivated.Job ResponsibilitiesLive the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilitiesAdhere to all OC and Plant specific safety requirementsParticipate on safety teamsMaintain a clean and orderly work areaRecognize, report and correct safety hazards upon identificationAdministrationManage inventory supply for processingComplete and record all quality dataMetric board maintenanceAdhere to all plant rules and guidelinesQualityFollow all process controls and provide documentationInspect all work for accuracyMain responsibilitiesDisassemble and clean incoming metal parts, partially or completely, using hand held air hammers, milling machines, shearing machines, and other equipment that supports the disassembly and cleaning processCut and separate metal to desired specificationsReceives metal parts from shipping/receiving department and initiates all computer transactions to move material to the next step in the processCapable of Safely Operating Forklift and other Hand held equipmentMaintains inventory of supplies need to complete assigned workChange the waste bead barrelsPerform other related duties as required and assignedCapable of learning new tasks and being cross trained in other areasJob RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:High school education/GED or equivalent2 years verifiable work experienceKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Able and willing to work in assigned personal protective equipment (PPE)Computer skillsStrong work ethic, self-motivatedReliable, punctual and works as scheduledDemonstrated mechanical aptitudeAbility to stand for an extensive amount of timeAbility to maintain a safe and clean environmentUnderstanding of measurement tolerancesAbility to lift 20 to 50 pounds on a regular basisAbility to work and contribute in a team environmentGood math skillsAbility to work in a group on different tasks towards one common goalQuality focused (i.e. Trice Healthcare
